In 2.5 hours, you will go from absolute beginner to completing your first project!

Afraid of your foot pedal? Have you tried sewing in the past but ran away from the machine and threw up your hands in frustration? Not only will this workshop change that for you, but will have you itching to whip up more projects when you get home, too!

In this 2.5-hour crash-course sewing workshop you will learn:

  • Which tools you'll need to sew at home
  • Basic sewing vocabulary
  • Sewing machine parts and functions
  • How to wind a bobbin and thread the machine
  • How to sew in a straight line and pivot around corners
  • + Make a simple drawstring bag!

Whether you want to learn how to sew your own clothing, whip up some fresh home decor, sew budget-friendly gifts, or make simple alterations, this workshop is the best first step.

Skill requirements: No previous sewing experience required.

Material requirements: We will provide all materials needed to complete the project. You will receive a helpful reference guide to take home.

Please note that we provide a sewing machine for you to use in the studio, but you are more than welcome to bring your machine from home. If you'd like to bring your home machine, please remember to bring the manual (and foot pedal/power cord) and arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled time.
